Abstract

L’articolo si interroga sul significato complessivo del pensiero filosofico di Emanuele Severino, analizzato in quanto linguaggio che si rivolge agli uomini, e dunque concentrando l’attenzione sulle due parti in gioco in questo evento, il filosofo o scrittore e l’ascoltatore o lettore. L’analisi prende avvio dal rapporto tra il sapere filosofico e quello prefilosofico nelle prime opere, passando per le figure del destino della verità e dell’alienazione del nichilismo, fino a prendere in oggetto il rapporto tra i vari cerchi dell’apparire negli ultimi lavori dell’autore. Il pensiero severiniano viene definito come maieutica originaria, ovvero come positiva attività di trasformazione del mondo nella testimonianza della verità che l’uomo già è.

The article investigates the overall meaning of the philosophical thought of Emanuele Severino, which is analyzed as a language that addresses men, and thus focusing attention on the two parts involved in this event: the philosopher or writer and the listener or reader. The analysis starts from the relationship between the philosophical and the unphilosophical knowledge in the first works, examines the central concepts of destino of truth and nihilism as alienation, and concludes with the examination of the relationship between circles of appearing in the latest works. In conclusion, the thought of Severino is defined as an original maieutics, namely as a positive activity of transformation of the world by showing the truth that man already is.
