Abstract

This short text is meant to focus on distance, understood as the main category around which turns not only all human perception, but also every human artistic production. To this end, we will examine three kinds of distance with which the artist must deal: a physical distance, the one between them and the object of their representation; a relational and emotional distance, the one between the artist, their work and the viewer; and a philosophical and existential distance, the one that separates the artist’s project and the realization of the work.
