Abstract

After Rosmini’s death, several of his works were published, including the “large fragment” of Theosophy. Many interpreters have dedicated themselves to the analysis of Rosminian thought and some have provided interpretations that have become canonical in the context of the Italian philosophy of the following years. Alessandro Pestalozza, one of the most faithful interpreters of Rosminian thought, tried to show its value and performative significance, Bertrando Spaventa paved the way for Rosmini’s idealistic interpretation, the interpreters of «La Civiltà Cattolica» attempted to show the incompatibility of Rosminian thought with Thomistic thought and Giuseppe Buroni attempted to work on Rosminian philosophy rigorously, opening the way to one of the most interesting interpretative perspectives on the national philosophical panorama.
