Abstract

The analysis of children’s literature allows us to known which representation of disabled child are offered in children’s book. This paper offers the analysis of a corpus comprised of 24 books published in Italy for children from 3 to 8 years old. The selected boos have been published from 2009 to 2018. We described the kind of representation of children’s disability that the books propose. Thematic analysis reveals topics: the disability representation; the description of the protagonist; the mediator character who helps the protagonist.
