Abstract
The aim of this research is first to establish what are the context conditions that characterize the infosphere (information overload and lacking in authority), to move on to the description of the topical structure of social media as a place for specific communication strategies (filter bubble and echo chamber effect). Later, the logical structure of plausibility will be indicated as a characteristic of the spread of fake-news and the phenomenon of deepfake will be considered in particular for its iconic connotation. Finally, a digital critical theory will be proposed that intends to mutually integrate the points of view of the theories of mutative media, the infosphere and documediality.
